So yet again I let you delve into my life. Mum, my mum introduced me to his mum. His mum and my mum happened to be so much alike after I got to know her. Brown skin, strict disciplinarians, very beautiful hair, opinionated, spiritual etc We cultivated our friendship and became really good friends. Then one day she gave me his number. I was joining campus. The same campus he was in and what she told me was, there is his number, call him, talk to him am sure he will take good care of you. So I did! I called him, very scared of-course. In my mind I pictured he’d think-now who is this girl and why exactly would she want to be my  friend? In the busy streets of Nairobi, Mel and I walk past the walls of human traffic jam as we struggle to find our way to the matatu terminus around Tom Mboya Street. Before we get there, just next to Tuskys Imara we stumble upon a second-hand book vendor with a sign reading ’Vitabu- 50 bob’ meaning that he’s selling the books at 50 Kenyan shillings about 0.5 dollars and well who would be stupid enough to pass such a ridiculous offer; and so we dig right in.

Naturallynn is back :)

Its been 97 days and counting since I was last here, it might seem like an eternity to my loyal followers but for me it was a much-needed break. I apologize for just taking off with no notification whatsoever but I believe you’ll forgive me seeing that we’re all but human and we have to be selfish just for sanity’s sake sometimes.

Henna Hair Treatment

My mother is an avid henna treatment fan, she uses it on both her hair and nails. Not even once have I ever seen her nails clear of henna, and for those who know her you can also attest to that. Every last Friday of the month she’d give me the task of mixing henna powder and plain water in a bowl to form a paste, let it rest for around 30 minutes then she’d apply it on her hair from the roots upwards.
